November has been a month of refinement and preparation as we move closer to mainnet launches for RioSwap and MintFun. The team has been focused on addressing community feedback, enhancing infrastructure, and ensuring everything is ready for production. Here's what we've been working on.
RioSwap Testnet
Based on valuable feedback from our testnet community, we've applied several bugfixes to RioSwap to ensure a smooth mainnet launch experience. These fixes improve reliability for end-to-end swap flows as we prepare for mainnet in 2026.
Significant backend work is underway to support atomic swap functionality for RioSwap. This will enable Mojito users to easily connect and interact with the RioSwap DEX and participate in trustless peer-to-peer trading.
Mojito Wallet
November brought substantial improvements to Mojito Wallet across design, security, and platform availability.
UI/UX Refresh: The wallet has received a refreshed and modernized UI design, making navigation more intuitive and the overall experience cleaner. These design updates reflect user feedback and align Mojito with current wallet UX standards.
Security & Performance: We've implemented improved security measures and enhanced overall performance and stability. These under-the-hood improvements ensure that Mojito remains secure and responsive as usage scales.
Firefox Restored: Mojito Wallet has been fully restored to the Firefox Add-ons Store. Firefox users can now install and use Mojito directly from the official add-ons marketplace.
MintFun Testnet
MintFun has also received important bugfixes on testnet following community testing and feedback. The focus this month has been on improving the token creation and management experience.
Block Explorer
The tokens page has been improved for clearer discovery, verification, and navigation. These enhancements make it easier for users and developers to track token deployments, transfers, and overall activity across the Mintlayer network. As we prepare for mainnet token launches through MintFun, having robust explorer tooling becomes increasingly important for ecosystem transparency.
Core Node and Hardware Wallets
The core team continues working on Ledger hardware wallet support, a highly requested feature that will bring enhanced security options for Mintlayer users. These efforts represent an important step toward institutional-grade security for the Mintlayer ecosystem.
