December focused on polishing our current offerings, tightening wallet and explorer workflows, and keeping mainnet preparations on schedule. Below is a concise roundup and a few important reminders.
Mojito Wallet (Browser Extension)
Preparing for mainnet integrations with MintFun, RioSwap, and other dApps. Recent work includes:
- Bitcoin HD wallet updates, including multiple receive and change addresses
- New UTXO selection and fee calculation algorithm
- New Addresses page for easier address management
- Security hardening, performance improvements, and wallet API optimizations for both BTC and ML
Explorer
Ongoing bug fixes and refinement to improve token views and overall responsiveness.
MintFun
Continued bug fixing and UX refinement on testnet based on community feedback.
RioSwap
Ongoing work toward mainnet readiness. Backend integration is underway so Mojito can drive atomic swap flows directly in the browser and app.
Action for Node Operators
Upgrade to v1.2.0 before the mainnet hard fork scheduled for January 20–21, 2026.
Download Core Node: https://www.mintlayer.org/download
After the fork:
- Order fills and conclusions will require initial and current balances
- Pool decommissioning will require current staker balance data
- Token issuance may produce token IDs differently
Notes:
- Avoid creating order fills, pool decommissions, or token issuance near the fork height
- Simple transfers are not affected
- Full node and API server resync will occur after the upgrade
