September was a month of steady infrastructure progress across the Mintlayer stack. Following last month’s core release, we focused on tools that make the network easier to inspect and the wallet simpler to use, while completing a successful Testnet hard fork that strengthens security and order handling. These upgrades set the stage for the next wave of front end features rolling out in October.
Block Explorer
- Added a Transaction Decoder page to help dApp developers and curious users inspect exactly what is being broadcast to the network.
- Introduced a Mainnet Mempool Viewer so unconfirmed transactions are visible in real time directly in the explorer.
Mojito Wallet (Browser Extension)
- Continued work on HTLC support for Native BTC Cross-Chain Swaps. Get ready for a video on how the HTLC process works coming soon.
- Simplified the creation flow to reduce user interactions when setting up an HTLC.
Token Factory
- Final polish is in progress. The public Testnet release is nearing and remains the next milestone.
Core Node, Testnet Hard Fork
- The Testnet hard fork successfully completed on September 30, 2025, bringing order-handling improvements and security upgrades.
- Action required: Testnet node operators must upgrade to v1.1.0 to remain on the supported chain. A small number of nodes still need to update.
Conclusion
Across the platform we continued performance improvements and bug fixes, focusing on stability and developer readiness. We will include the user-facing changes once they are fully in production next month.
Looking ahead, mark your calendar for October 13. We have several announcements on the way, so stay tuned on our social channels and keep an eye on the daily countdown.
