About you

We are looking for a dynamic interaction designer to join our company.

Your duties will include creating engaging and usable interactions for the user through product development, as well as identifying flaws and points of improvement during product testing.

To ensure your success as an interaction designer, you should know the design process intimately and possess excellent knowledge of the product life cycle.

Ultimately, a top-notch interaction designer should have exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the product development team, as well as consumers and other role players.

Key responsibilities

  • Following the complete design process, from conducting market research to conceptualizing and designing a product for the company
  • Analyzing consumer behaviour to gain user insights and identify opportunities to optimize the usability of a product
  • Identifying any defects or points of improvement during the product testing phase
  • Working with the product development team to ensure the product meets both management and consumer objectives
  • Engaging with customers to gauge product reception
  • Keeping up to date with the market and industry to better implement the latest technologies in the design process

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as an interaction designer or a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of the product cycle and product design principles
  • Proficiency in interaction design software
  • Solid knowledge of graphic design, including sketching, colour theory, use of texture, and visual presentation
  • Working in a multidisciplinary agile team
  • Experience with product design systems
  • Ability to conduct UX research and take decisions informed by data

Bonus points

  • Living in CET±3
  • Bachelor’s degree in visual design, UX design, or a related field
  • Strong experience with Figma
  • Ability to interact with a Living Styleguide
  • Previous experience in the crypto industry be it professional or personal (or both!)

You are an experienced cyber security engineer or a software engineer with a deep interest in security. You’re comfortable with web application security and either comfortable with or eager to learn about mobile and rust based software security. You’re comfortable both designing the security side of products and you’re able to test existing products. Being confident in JavaScript is a requirement and any other programming skills are a plus.

Location: Remote

We’re looking for blockchain developers and rust developers to come and build the Mintlayer core node. We’re writing the chain from scratch, so we have a lot of interesting technical issues to solve. We’re looking for developers with blockchain development experience, working directly on a chain (not smart contract development), or experienced rust developers to bolster our growing team. We’re a primarily remote company, although we do have an office in San Marino, and we tend to stick to roughly CET working hours, 10 am CET - 1 pm CET can be considered our core hours when the entire team is around.

Characteristics of a successful candidate

  • Experience with a low-level language (c, c++, rust)
  • At least 2 years of development experience with a minimum of 1 year of blockchain experience or 5 years of experience with no previous blockchain experience
  • Great written and spoken English - it’s our working language
  • Experience working with a remote team (preferred but not essential)
  • Understanding of security issues and best practices
  • You can read, understand and implement an RFC or a specification
  • Willingness to work hours that overlap with 10am - 1pm CET

Responsibilites

  • Develop software in rust for our core node
  • Write tests and develop the test framework in both rust and python
  • Help design and plan the architecture of the core node
  • Fix bugs and security issues when required
  • Shape the future of the core node
  • Work with other internal teams to integreate the core node in to their products
  • Mentor less experienced developers

We’re looking for experienced developers with experience in both react and react native. Experience of releasing mobile apps for both Android and iOS is preferred.

An interest in blockchain and/or cryptocurrencies would be beneficial.

You’ll work on the UI for the core node as well as the mobile wallet.
